Zion National Park, a hiker’s paradise. An ancient park of mystery and wonder, Zion is known worldwide for it’s awe-inspiring terrain and opportunities for adventure. And we’re combining it with amazing daily yoga to celebrate the longest day of the year – Summer Solstice!
THE HEART // We’ve made it a mission to explore more deeply in our own backyard. The natural wonders of North America are breathtaking, life changing and only a hop, skip and a jump away from home. Nestled just outside the park, our beautiful glamping camp is the perfect place to embrace one of the most wondrous national parks in the world.
OUR PROCESS // Did you know that we build all our trips from scratch? To learn more about our process and what goes into the making of a Yogascapes retreat, click here.
Escape the city and follow your heart to the unbelievable landscapes of Zion. It’s on everyone’s bucket lists’s and now’s the time to get your hike and yoga on among those impressive views.
Our days will be feature amazing yoga sessions on a yoga platform looking out towards towering red rock formations and vast openness. Heading into the park, we’ll continue to let our spirits free and embrace some amazing hikes available to us – hikes that may push us to remember our strength and reward us with incredible beauty. There are a variety of hikes we can do including: the zigzagging ascent to Observation Point, the more intense and exposed trek up to Angels Landing (so worth it!), East Rim Trail or the more relaxed walk to Emerald Pools or Riverwide walk to the Gateway of the Narrows for a dip. All are incredible and a wonderful way to experience Zion. The specific group hikes we choose will depend on weather and potentially availability of permits, however we will make plenty of information and options available to you so you can co-create your adventure!
Every day we will soak up our unique “glamping” accommodations at Under Canvas Zion, which offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity to camp near Zion National Parks with a bit of an upleveled comfort. Please remember this is not a luxury hotel retreat (we have plenty of those); it is a down-to-earth getaway into nature and we are still camping under the stars.
What to Expect:
Get ready for a trip all about discovery of your personal strength, bravery, and inner badass.
This retreat invites us to be active in our bodies and each celebrate our own love of movement. With that said, all levels of hikers and yogis are completely welcomed – it is most important to us that you stay connected to your individual needs and comfort levels… Often we discover the most powerful experiences when we listen to the pull of what challenges us. We will be there to support you along the way.
We only require that you bring a sense of adventure and an open mind. This is a down to earth retreat and that’s how we like it.

Gloria Baraquio, E-RYT 500, is a bhakti yogi from Hawaii who began her practice in 2003 when she began suffering from stress and anxiety. After experiencing her ujjayi breath for the first time in a yoga class, she finally understood the importance of breathing and how it could calm, center, and ground her life. She began teaching in 2006 and embarked on a journey through vinyasa, ashtanga, Iyengar, hatha, bhakti, kundalini, somatics, ecstatic dance, Nia, Rolfing, acupuncture, physical theater, and natural foods, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the body, mind, voice, movement, and nutrition. As a teacher and Director of Yoga/Wellness at The Springs in Downtown LA, Gloria’s desire is to help others cultivate an intimate relationship with themselves and their surroundings so that they can live more fully, with love, peace, gratitude, and well-being.
Gloria’s background is in education, performing arts, film production, and community building. While working as a TV host, writer, and actor in Hawaii, she taught K-12 students in public charter schools (Language Arts, Math, Digital Media, and Yoga). Living both on and off the grid of the Big Island for 7 years was her greatest training in spiritual practice, yoga, natural healing, and community building. She is certified to teach vinyasa and aerial yoga, and she is a Lead Teacher Trainer for Shivakali Yoga. She continues to host Teacher Trainings and retreats in places like Hawaii, Bali, Nicaragua, and the San Diego Desert. Find out more about Gloria here.
