This is not your usual chi-chi yoga retreat. You can leave your fancy-pants at home. This one’s all about keeping it real, of course with abundant cozinness.

We’ll sweat, we’ll learn, we’ll hike (if we’re not reading on the couch), and we’ll soak in ancient hot springs that have been revered as sacred for hundreds of years. Join us for an unpretentious, rockin’, yoga-filled, back-to-nature weekend under the stars — the kind of retreat meant for real people who wanna get their yoga and their nature and their big sky on, all at once.
Marina’s classes will gracefully guide us through the elements – earth, water, fire, air and ether – allowing us to experience them within our surroundings and ourselves. Marina’s authentic and supportive approach to teaching offers a welcoming space to find real depth in our practice and enjoy ourselves along the way.
Sierra Hot Springs is based at the cusp of a lush national forest and a beautiful alpine valley, blanketed with wildflowers. Leave your cell phone at home and get lost on the edge of 700 acres of enchanted forest. Trade your soul-sucking commute for a midnight soak in 24-hour plunge pools under star-studded skies, or rise with the sun for a daybreak hike before getting your asana on in the fresh air. Any way you look at it, here’s your chance to bloom.
We’ll do our part to keep things grounded and authentic and rich and real, offering four badass yoga practices rich with music and philosophy; delicious, lovingly-prepared meals; but also giving you plenty of time on your own to get lost, to slow down, to unplug, to breathe, and to really soak up the hiking and the sunshine and the hot springs in their full springtime glow.
Marina is a life-long Bay Area resident, yogini mama and lover of all that is wild. Her classes, workshops and retreats invite students to explore the details of all experiences with the utmost passion and curiosity. For marina, yoga asana is an embodied ritual which has the capacity to uncover our most vibrant, potent selves. Her slow moving vinyasa classes are alignment-rich, highly creative, and meant to honor and celebrate each students unique connection to yoga. Her teachings integrate elements of somatic movement, follow the rhythms of nature and include various meditation and pranayama techniques and ritual. Her major influences have been Rod Stryker, Bryan Kest and more currently Abby Tucker, with whom she’s studied extensively. Before yoga found Marina, she received her BA in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley, where her continued passion for social justice blossomed. Her day to day life is spent mostly at home rearranging furniture for fun, in the woods collecting leaves with her tiny human, mountain biking, and gardening. Join her in enlivening your senses through yoga, travel, connection, knowledge and play!
Sierra Hot Springs is a non-profit retreat and workshop center located at the cusp of enchanted forest and beautiful alpine valley. Here, it is impossible to resist the overwhelming sense of tranquility. The natural spring water is as smooth as silk, and the pools are a true experience. For centuries, Native Americans have regarded this land as a sacred healing place. Now we invite you to discover its incredible powers for yourself.
The pools are clothing optional, so guests can individually decide what is most comfortable for them. There is wifi in the Main Lodge and Globe Hotel, but we suggest disconnecting as much as possible to soak up the serene surroundings.
When rooming at the Main Lodge sells out, accommodations will open at the Globe Hotel. The Globe Hotel is 15/20 min walk from the pools and main lodge. There is a resident cat in the Main Lodge, so please inform us if you have cat allergies. The cat generally stays out of the yoga space and guest rooms.
Description of Rooming:
Camping – Bring a tent and everything you need. Beautiful camping sites.
Dorm – Shared space with bunk-beds and common bathroom. Lots of space and cozy.
Double – Queen or two separate beds. Shared Bathrooms.
Single – Queen bed. Shared Bathrooms.

Sierra is remote, so bring all you need for a 3-day excursion.

We offer three payment options based when you sign up! We encourage those that can’t afford the full price option to sign up early for the lowest price. We strive to maintain a balance between offering our programs to the widest range of participants and running a sustainable and thriving company so that we can continue to create and share our experiences with you. Please inquire about payment plans. We can split up your payments however final payments are due at least 45 days prior to the start date of your retreat.
