“Instructions for living a life.
Tell about it.”

Join us for a week on the white sand beaches of Panama for yoga, surfing, snorkeling and hiking. The quiet and relaxing beach front bungalows offer the prefect way to reconnect to the wonders of nature. Let’s eat, laugh, and play together!
For a week, we will find our home on a secluded beach in Panama with one of our favorite teachers in the world: Gillian St. Clair. This is the perfect place for yoga lovers, and the opportunity to be completely in harmony with nature.
Her creative classes mixed with tropical paradise and fresh gourmet meals make this week-long retreat an absolute dream. Our days will begin by waking up to the gentle sound of the ocean, followed by daily yoga classes (that will likely inspire your practice forever). After we move on the mat, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast array with fresh tropical fruits, coconut, healthy cereals, freshly squeezed o.j., eggs cooked to your liking, locally baked breads, marmalades, cheese, and of course, our great Panamean ground coffee. We will continue with either surfing, snorkeling, excursions through the jungle, time on the perfect white sand beaches or simply relaxing and taking in the sweet atmosphere of our surroundings.
After a morning of activity or just relaxing, guests will enjoy a wholesome lunch, with international flavors, which could consist of different salads, middle eastern falafel and tzataziki sauce, Mexican quesadillas with fresh guacamole and Spanish tortillas, just to name a few. All meals are served with our homemade bread freshly baked & natural fruit juices, such as maracuya (passion fruit) and lemonade. Umm… yes please!
After a relaxing and fun afternoon, we will return to our mats to soak up more yoga and acroyoga with Gillian. When we retreat with Gillian, we sink into more understanding, alignment, depth, and authenticity within ourselves and our practice.
Next, the 3-course dinner at Al Natural is a very unique and a special experience. As guests make their way over, they are amazed at the transformation the restaurant has taken with its many brightly lit candles and soft music playing in the background giving it a romantic and magical feeling. This is a great time to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail and catch up with the other guests. His European background combines Creole & Belgian flavors which come together on a symphony of colors and tastes that keep everyone enthralled. Of course, the meal will close with a dessert that will tantalize taste buds as he elegantly combines local fruits with, for instance, shredded coconut, organic cacao, and… local rum. Guests have always raved about the food and we look forward to sharing it with you. The kitchen is very accommodating to people with dietary restrictions.
Nomadic from birth being raised by traveling minster, seriously with my older siblings, two cats and a dove, we traveled all over Europe and the US listening to my mother teach (I would say preach but she didn’t, she taught.) It’s funny how “traveling” “sitting” and “listening” have become such a huge part of my adult life. The sitting and listening part took me a long time to come to terms with.
I started my asana practice in 1999. I came from a life of dancing (ballet & contemporary) didn’t know how much I relied on the physical to take care of my emotional state until the day I quit dance. I had no knowledge of where I was storing all my feelings (my life) until then. So when I took my first Ashtanga yoga class I felt completely clear again, it was magic! I felt whole.
After coming back from India, I opened Steadfast and True Yoga in Nashville TN in August 2010. I wanted to create a studio and space that holds tightly to values of right action and less distraction, to create healthy reactions. I wanted to create an extended family. I succeeded. Steadfast is constantly growing and evolving, but it has been and will continue to be an amazing journey for me.
I am very passionate about truth and integrity and ask for that in my yoga classes. I ask the yogi to seek the knowledge of breath and asana before the fluidity and vinyasa. Having said that, I teach very strong alignment based Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha classes. When you come to my class know that you are safe and supported in the journey we take together. It’s important to understand that everything in yoga is attainable although its process that needs to explored.
I ask the students to focus on what their true needs are and let go of wants. That way they (we) can stop being so needy and stop wanting what isn’t ours. “Contentment before bliss, peace is in the middle.” I think I’m funny and love when people laugh at my jokes. I adore and thank the universe daily for my husband Jason and our daughter Sydelle.

Nestled between jungle and sea, Al Natural Resort is the place to explore the vibrant wonders of the Panamanian archipelago. We will take a boat ride through the waters of Bastimentos Marine National Park to our retreat destination on a seclude beach of Old Point where we will be for 6 nights/ 7 days.
All meals are based on fresh local products and are served family style in which guests are seated together along a beautiful 15 feet long hardwood table in our new restaurant bar, built in the traditional Ngobe-bugle style and overlooking the sparkling water of the lagoon. From the start of the day to the end, we make the eating experience a memorable one. Breakfast is a nourishing array of fresh tropical fruits, fresh eggs, locally baked bread, freshly squeezed juices, lunch and dinner are 3 course gourmet meals with a variety of locally caught fish, and unique dishes with blends of international flavors such as Mediterranean falafel and Mexican quesdillas.
Experience quiet nights in the bungalow which open to the sea. Each bungalow is unique, and is composed of a terrace, private bathroom with hot and cold water, good lighting powered by a 12 volt solar powered electrical system.
Transfer will be provided from Bocas del Toro. Most guests will fly into Panama City and take a domestic flight to Bocas. Domestic flights to Bocas del Toro depart from the domestic airport in Albrook near Panama City, and some flights now depart also from Tucumen International Airport. Air Panama operates the one-hour direct flights twice daily (± $ 145.00 round trip). Also there are flights between David and Bocas del Toro. Go towww.airpanama.com to reserve your domestic flights. In order to limit our carbon footprint, please note that we are trying to do only one trip per day between Bocas del Toro and the hotel.
It is ideal if you can make the morning boat transfer from Bocas del Toro between 11 am and noon. Most people do opt for the Air Panama morning flight that takes you to Bocas at 7:30 am (or at a later time, but before noon). Should you choose an afternoon arrival flight, or if you miss our morning boat, just communicate with us directly about when you plan to arrive and we will coordinate a shared transfer later in the day. Please note that there may be 1 or 2 times that the transfer is available and we will need to schedule the transfer to suit the group.
We offer three payment options based when you sign up! We encourage those that can’t afford the full price option to sign up early for the lowest price. We strive to maintain a balance between offering our programs to the widest range of participants and running a sustainable and thriving company so that we can continue to create and share our experiences with you. Please inquire about payment plans. We can split up your payments however final payments are due at least 45 days prior to the start date of your retreat.
