French Countryside Retreat

July 7-13, 2019 // Yoga Retreat in France

WITH Abby Tucker

What's Unique

Join us in the lands that gave rise to exquisite rose wines, troubadours and early legends of the Holy Grail.  The Languedoc region in Southwest France is the land of world- renowned vineyards, legends, abundant sunshine, Mediterranean cuisine, Cathar castles and natural springs. Our retreat home is a 12th Century Farm house on 15 acres wedged between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.  Your teacher, Abby Tucker, is uniquely equipped as a yoga teacher, a vineyard owner and an initiated holder of earth wisdom and Grail mysteries, to lead us on a powerful and evocative journey into these lands.

Join us for a week of yoga, meditation, ritual, local food and wine, excursions into the vast landscape of castles and legends, and languid hours relaxing by the pool and taking in the breathtaking view.

THE HEART // We are in love with this part of the world. The Pyrenees are as magical as the Mediterranean, so when we found a place with such incredible natural beauty combined with the French culture of food and wine, mixed with the storied history of the landscape and the people who have lived in it, we had to plan this trip!

OUR PROCESS // Did you know that we build all our trips from scratch? To learn more about our process and what goes into the making of a Yogascapes retreat, click here.

Testimonials & Our Story

“I’ve just returned from hosting a beautiful retreat with Jon and Lucy at Domaine de Mournac…. the venue exceeded my expectations for service, quality and beauty. I’ve hosted many retreats in different locations and venues and this was up there as one of my top experiences. I highly recommend you host your retreat at Domaine de Mournac for a truly unforgettable experience… thank you Jon and Lucy for your warm welcome and for making our retreat amazing”

“As you sit on the bench below the pool and look down at the valley below, you hear the church bells from Antugnac village church, see the beginning of the Pyrenees mountains ahead, get heckled by the chickens running around freely, and smell the lavender. A beautiful location with very friendly hosts and so many things to do. Thank you for a great stay x”

Abby Tucker

Abby Tucker is a beloved teacher, priestess and mystic, who is known for integrating her two paths — the practices of yoga — asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra and mythology – with mystical earth-based and gnostic wisdom. Abby’s classes offer dynamic biomechanics—gleaned from nearly 20 years of practice and study– within a variety of contexts, including strength and stamina-building; slow empowered flow, or workshop-style depth. Often described as a “teacher’s teacher,” Abby’s classes both nourish and empower students at every level of practice, from raw beginner to advanced practitioner. Abby’s chief mission in teaching is to help students unveil their internal wisdom and power, and to educate them into the depth of practice so that they can thrive in practice and life for the long-term.

Abby spent much of her childhood in a mystical field behind her home in Tennessee. It was there that she first learned that all of nature—including our own human nature—had a pulse, a rhythm and a cycle. She became enchanted by yoga at the age of 10, and began exploring Eastern religions and philosophies in high school and college. It was in 1998 that she finally came to the practices of yoga and, finding her entire life transformed by its alchemy, she left her full-time career in public relations and in 1999 turned her life over to yoga, becoming a full-time yoga student for the next four years.  She began teaching in 2002, earned her Anusara certification in 2005, and now holds an E-RYT 500 with the Yoga Alliance.

In 2012, Abby heeded the call of the sacred work of the priestess. She formally entered these practices in 2014 and is now an initiated priestess of the mysteries of Avalon through the lineage of Awakening Avalon.  The Sovereign Path is the integration of Abby’s yoga studies and her mystical practices.

When you come on a yogascapes retreat, nothing is mandatory and we build in plenty of time for you to be own your own, to rest more, to explore more, or to be open to whatever shows up.

We love food, period. Delicious, healthy, beautiful, thoughtful food that nourishes the body and inspires the creative soul. Food is where we come together to replenish our bodies and where our community is built.

Traveling is adventure of the senses and we build each trip to open our senses up to the world and be open to the world through our senses.

We believe the experiences that last a lifetime are the ones in which you are learning and integrating what you learn into your life. Our teachers and guides create unique opportunities for deepening and expansion of your practice.

We know that life is overwhelming at times and our nervous systems beg not only for the medicine of adventure, but for deep rest and rejuvenation. A week of quiet nights and deep sleep, time for napping and giving yourself permission to do nothing at all.

Our mission is to connect people to their purpose by exposing them to practices, people and places that bring out their deepest truths and desires. Each one has the intention to bring you into a deeper connection with yourself and your true gifts.

Come with no story to defend and no judgement to be had. Meet people who will change your life and/or share in all the ups and downs.
