information

On this journey our practice will honor the lingering energy of the winter solstice by resting more than doing, by dreaming more than acting, and by diving into ourselves. Recharge amidst beautiful natural surroundings, soak up the sun and float out at sea.

Each day will focus on healing the body with daily yoga and nourishing vegetarian meals. Mornings will begin with a daily card reading and a moment of silent meditation to honor the depths of winter. In the middle of our trip, guests will have the option of partaking in a three day food-based cleanse through which they’ll learn about nutrition and encouraging healing in the body.

Throughout this experience an emphasis will be placed on fostering dreams; allowing ourselves permission to dream beyond our wildest imaginations, exploring storytelling, beautiful mystery, moon cycles, and more. Each soul who attends will leave feeling refreshed and ready to take on all the New Year has in store.

This trip is an FP Escape, curated by Free People and powered by Yogascapes. Open to women ages 18 and over. Airfare to Puerto Vallarta not included.

venue

Background

We’ll make our home at Xinalani eco-resort where deep rest and relaxation are your only objective. The venue which can be accessed only by boat is located in Yelapa, Mexico,  directly on the beach and surrounded with breath-taking jungle.

As a sustainable resort in Mexico, the property is a sanctuary for wildlife. Standing in the heart of the jungle privileges our location – humpback whales, bottled-nose dolphins, iguanas and birds such as parakeets, parrots, macaws, and woodpecker, among others, are our companions.

The beauty found in Xinalani Retreat lies in the art of making our vacation space a sanctuary for the soul, where we can escape the discord and stress of modern life. Xinalani provides a place where we can seek new meaning for our lives and restore the mind-body balance.

Xinalani is committed to the sustainable development of the local community.  As an ethical venture they offer scholarships, training in hospitality careers and job opportunities. Xinalani was built using a variety of organic local materials. They promote an intelligent approach to the use of energy and water. They have successfully found efficient alternatives to air conditioning and we take great comfort in sharing our habitat with local fauna.
