Escape the urban grind for a weekend of yoga, fresh air, and mountain blooms. Join YOGASCAPES for a rustic, heart-filled, revitalizing spring getaway melding music, vinyasa and philosophy amidst some of the most beautiful natural scenery in Northern California. **There is 1 female dorm spot left as well as camping. All other accommodations are full.**

This is not your usual chi-chi yoga retreat. You can leave your fancy-pants at home. This one’s all about keeping it real, kids.

Gather with a crew of like-minded folks who just wanna get their bhakti on. We’ll sweat, we’ll chant, we’ll hike, and we’ll soak our sore muscles in ancient hot springs that have been revered as sacred for hundreds of years. Join us for an unpretentious, rockin’, yoga-filled, back-to-nature weekend under the stars — the kind of retreat meant for real people who wanna get their yoga and their nature and their big sky on, all at once.

Accommodations available: 1 female dorm / indoor or outdoor camping

Sierra Hot Springs is based at the cusp of a lush national forest and a beautiful alpine valley, blanketed with wildflowers. Leave your cell phone at home and get lost on the edge of 700 acres of enchanted forest. Trade your soul-sucking commute for a midnight soak in 24-hour plunge pools under star-studded skies, or rise with the sun for a daybreak hike before getting your asana on in the fresh air. Any way you look at it, here’s your chance to bloom.

We’ll do our part to keep things grounded and authentic and rich and real, offering four badass yoga practices rich with music and philosophy; delicious, lovingly-prepared meals; but also giving you plenty of time on your own to get lost, to slow down, to unplug, to breathe, and to really soak up the hiking and the sunshine and the hot springs in their full springtime glow.

My story starts in a gym filled with Dumbbells, Stairmasters and TV’s and a short love affair with Bikram yoga. I quickly turned towards a more slow paced Hatha flow, where the classes were simple and challenging, and the studio community warm and accepting. This is where I fell deeply in love with what has since become a daily practice, releasing years of destructive body image behavior. My practice is constantly morphing, alongside the crazy rhythms that encapsulate life. I offer a highly creative, energetic vinyasa class through which I thread somatic movement, detailed alignment and various subtle body/mind/breath practices. This will shift as I shift, but my roots will always remain mindful and fearless.

My main teachers have been Bryan Kest for his down to earth dharma talks and challenging yet simple sequencing, Rod Stryker for meditation and Pranayama and Abby Tucker for her incredible ability to highlight the alignment of body and nature.

The woodsy backdrop of my upbringing has most definitely bred within me a strong link to the natural world. I also believe that expression through costume is central in leading a happy life and offer weekly costume inspired yoga classes in order to encourage silly behavior at large!

A bit of my BY (before yoga) history: I received my B.A. in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley in 2011, which has been my inspiration in offering Seva centered classes and retreats.  You can find my schedule and information about my upcoming events & retreats at

Sierra Hot Springs is a non-profit retreat and workshop center located at the cusp of enchanted forest and beautiful alpine valley. Here, it is impossible to resist the overwhelming sense of tranquility. The natural spring water is as smooth as silk, and the pools are a true experience. For centuries, Native Americans have regarded this land as a sacred healing place. Now we invite you to discover its incredible powers for yourself.

The pools are clothing optional, so guests can individually decide what is most comfortable for them. There is wifi in the Main Lodge and Globe Hotel, but we suggest disconnecting as much as possible to soak up the serene surroundings.

When rooming at the Main Lodge sells out, accommodations will open at the Globe Hotel. The Globe Hotel is 15/20 min walk from the pools and main lodge. There is a resident cat in the Main Lodge, so please inform us if you have cat allergies. The cat generally stays out of the yoga space and guest rooms.
