What's Unique

Welcome to the only boutique hotel in the oldest rainforest in the world. We chose Daintree Eco-lodge because of both it’s location in middle of this incredible rainforest and it’s proximity to The Great Barrier Reef. Unless you live nearby, this is a giant trip for you and we wanted to create an experience that gave you as much impact, nature, one of a kind experience, delicious food and amazing yoga as we possibly could. This is the trip we’ve been dreaming of for years and you are wholeheartedly invited to this incredible yoga retreat in Australia!

THE HEART // We don’t know how much longer the world’s most amazing natural wonders will last which is why we are on a mission to visit The Great Barrier Reef and the oldest rainforest in the world all in one trip. We know that when you fall in love with places like this, they affect you and that effect ripples outward in wondrous ways. 6 Jungle Nights

Welcome to the oldest rainforest in the world. What does that mean? That means the lush tropical jungle you’ve been dreaming of. Deep green  fauna not found anywhere else and a river teaming with wildlife. It means traveling to the far side of the world to feel an unrivaled sense of home. It means fresh air and nourishment to the soul. It means spending a week with a beautiful community who is there to bathe in the same juicy travel as you.

Start your day with a delicious yoga class, followed by breakfast and then a morning of exploring or relaxing in the jungle. A delicious lunch followed by an afternoon of napping, hiking, reading, or an excursion to the Great Barrier Reef or a local village. Then close your beautiful day with a sweet early evening practice and a delicious dinner with new and old friends at the rainforest restaurant.

Daintree is home to an astonishing 430 species of birds, 13 of which are found nowhere else on the planet. This spectacular rainforest features some of the biggest tropical trees on the planet, including the ancient Bull Kauri trees. In fact, the tallest tree reaches a whopping 44.2 metres –around the same height as the famous Statue of Liberty.

The Restaurant: Only the freshest local ingredients are used to prepare sensational gourmet meals in our beautiful rainforest setting. We pride ourselves on offering you breathtaking cuisine, cooked by our passionate chefs who delights in putting together tantalizing meals with a personal touch. We invite you to enjoy this exceptional rainforest dining experience as a guest or a visitor. Relax while taking in the unique sights and sounds while we showcase the very best of contemporary Australian cuisine.

Stay: The comfortable guest rooms have been designed to enhance your unique rainforest experience, ensuring a luxurious stay, while striving to achieve 100% sustainability. Each villa features air-conditioning, ceiling fans and daily room service. No TV and Wi-fi in your secluded private lodge means you’ll see and hear the rainforest in ways you never have before, creating an unforgettable tropical encounter. Fresh, clean water from the purest source, combined with organic, healthy foods, guarantees an uplifting and sustainable getaway.

Sustainability is not just a word that we toss around for brownie points with our guests. It is a concept that is at the core of who we are as a business. Sustainability can mean different things to different people; our interpretation of a sustainable business is one that generates a sustainable profit while benefiting the community and the environment. This includes actively managing environmental, social and economic risks by mitigating negative impacts from our operations. There are some serious environmental and social issues facing our planet today and looming on the horizon. We want to ensure that our business is not contributing to these issues and that we are positively contributing to our local environment and community. We approach sustainability under the pillars of environment, community and workplace.

Travel Info

Travel: The retreat is located about 90 minutes from Cairns Airport so we highly suggest booking a flight that departs a day early and arrives by 1pm on the 16th (there are a number of flights that arrive between 11:00am – 1pm). One group airport shuttle from Cairns is provided at about 1 pm. The exact pick up time is subject to adjustment and we will provide details as the retreat after we receive all guest travel details before the retreat. You may need to fly out as early as the morning of Sep 14th in order to arrive by 1pm  Sep 16th in Australia time – please pay close attention when you book your flights to make sure you arriving on the right day.

If you have to arrive on one of the later flights, we understand and can help coordinate a taxi for you (not included). You will most likely arrive just in time for dinner as most later flights arrive around 4-5pm. If you can’t seem to book a flight that gets in at a reasonable time on the 16th we think it’s probably a sign that you should come a day or more early!

Please book a flight that departs after 12pm on the 22nd if you’re leaving that day to allow a bit of time to soak up the last morning and not rush out too much earlier. One group airport shuttle is included to Cairns airport to arrive around 9:30/10 am in time for the 12pm flights. The exact time is subject to adjustment to fit the group’s needs.

If this shuttle time does not work for you, we can help set up a taxi for you (not included) and will try to pair you up with other guests. If possible, we may be able to drop you off at a beach town on the way to the airport so you can spend time on the coast before you go to the airport. You can also stay longer in the area on Sep 22nd and fly out at a later date.

Of Every Yogascapes Retreat

Our mission is to connect people to their deepest purpose/truths, wellbeing and inspiration. We combine vibrant yoga and wellness teachers with incredible guides, local culture, nourishing food, inspiring adventure and a crew of fun-loving people from around the world. Along this journey, you’ll have a Yogascapes Guide supporting you every step of the way, from signing up to helping you on a glacier.

While every single retreat we create is unique based on the local culture, incredible teachers, the time of year and the environment, every experience is built on the following pillars.

Each retreat is filled with a mix of yoga, mantra, mudra, meditation and more. To learn more about the specifics of this retreat, check out the schedule or contact us.

When you come on a yogascapes retreat, nothing is mandatory and we build in plenty of time for you to be own your own, to rest more, to explore more, or to be open to whatever shows up.

We love food, period. Delicious, healthy, beautiful, thoughtful food that nourishes the body and inspires the creative soul. Food is where we come together to replenish our bodies and where our community is built.

Traveling is adventure of the senses and we build each trip to open our senses up to the world and be open to the world through our senses.

We believe the experiences that last a lifetime are the ones in which you are learning and integrating what you learn into your life. Our teachers and guides create unique opportunities for deepening and expansion of your practice.

We know that life is overwhelming at times and our nervous systems beg not only for the medicine of adventure, but for deep rest and rejuvenation. A week of quiet nights and deep sleep, time for napping and giving yourself permission to do nothing at all.

Our mission is to connect people to their purpose by exposing them to practices, people and places that bring out their deepest truths and desires. Each one has the intention to bring you into a deeper connection with yourself and your true gifts.

Come with no story to defend and no judgement to be had. Meet people who will change your life and/or share in all the ups and downs. Connect to old friends and family in a new way, on a retreat, or when you go back home. Our own healing is the healing of the planet and so we work work with eco-lodges and companies that have similar ethos and missions.
