California Farm to Yoga Retreat

March 29-31, 2019 // Balance on the Farm

WITH Molly Levine & Andrea “Anj” Manitsas

What's Unique

Join us for a rejuvenating weekend on a beautiful farm just over an hour north of San Francisco. We’ve found a dream farm retreat in Sebastapol where you can settle in for the weekend for incredible yoga in the barn with Andrea “Anj” Manitsas, delicious food from the farm cooking by amazing chef Molly, sleep in the renovated farmhouse or camping, or a short trip to our beautiful coastline. Molly will integrate adaptogenic herbs into meals, sharing her knowledge of beautiful cuisine that connects and supports deeply.

THE HEART // Our friends at Green Valley have restored an incredible old farm, farmhouse and mill and are doing amazing work to regenerate the land. Green Valley’s mission is to connect people to the land and ours is to connect people to themselves through the land, different practices and community. So after spending a day at their Spring farm gathering and waking up in the farmhouse with the fresh air and sweet birds, we knew it was a match made in heaven.

OUR PROCESS // Did you know that we build all our trips from scratch? To learn more about our process and what goes into the making of a Yogascapes retreat, click here.

Anj Manitsas & Molly Levine

Andrea (affectionately called “Anj”) has become known for a potent class with a whole lotta soul and a fierce flow; some dub it “SoulFlow.” She warmly invites students on a sacred journey through her unique expression of the Vinyasa flow that is dreamy and rhythmic while also being smart and intentional. Her classes incorporate mantras and chanting, philosophy, storytelling, meditation, breath awareness, essential oils, challenge and space for a personal unfolding.

Anj continues to connect an ever-growing well of experience with impressive music and book libraries to inspire bodies to move, minds to focus and hearts to heal. As a professional reader/writer/editor, she works to imbibe her classes with the depth of the teachings. Anj also leads worldwide yoga retreats.

Molly is a bicoastal chef, known for her lyrical approach to farm to table cookery. The spirit of communion and natural cycles define both Molly’s generous hosting style as well her flair for multicultural flavors. An avid organizer of farm dinners and unique gatherings, she cherishes the function that food can play in fostering connectivity and life-long, joyous memories between family and strangers alike. Inspired by her global travels, she incorporates Mexican, Mediterranean, Spanish, Italian, and classic Californian ingredients, often in novel combinations, in her menus. Having honed her skills at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California she believes strongly in sourcing ethically, locally, & seasonally, and connecting her audience with the people who grow and raise their food as a part of a greater conversation and movement.

As Molly dives even deeper into the richness of her work, she is excited to share her love of travel, yoga, and healthful rituals in an expansion of her offerings outside the walls of restaurants. Turning to adaptogenic herbs for her own health, she is delighted to incorporate them into her cooking and share her ever growing knowledge of their applications in every day practices.

Green Valley Farm & Mill

Green Valley Farm + Mill is an 100+ acre property located 20-minutes from downtown Sebastopol. Its footprint comprises the majority of the headwaters of Green Valley Creek and a large part of what is considered the Green Valley. Their property is surrounded by neighbors that have lived and stewarded this land for numerous generations (since the time of settlement). All of the people living there are committed to ecological stewardship, community and vibrant, regenerative farm enterprises.

Travel Info

Welcome to our little piece of paradise just north of San Francisco.

Of Every Yogascapes Retreat

Our mission is to connect people to their deepest purpose/truths, wellbeing and inspiration. We combine vibrant yoga and wellness teachers with incredible guides, local culture, nourishing food, inspiring adventure and a crew of fun-loving people from around the world. Along this journey, you’ll have a Yogascapes Guide supporting you every step of the way, from signing up to helping you on a glacier.

While every single retreat we create is unique based on the local culture, incredible teachers, the time of year and the environment, every experience is built on the following pillars.

Each retreat is filled with a mix of yoga, mantra, mudra, meditation and more. To learn more about the specifics of this retreat, check out the schedule or contact us.

When you come on a yogascapes retreat, nothing is mandatory and we build in plenty of time for you to be own your own, to rest more, to explore more, or to be open to whatever shows up.

We love food, period. Delicious, healthy, beautiful, thoughtful food that nourishes the body and inspires the creative soul. Food is where we come together to replenish our bodies and where our community is built.

Traveling is adventure of the senses and we build each trip to open our senses up to the world and be open to the world through our senses.

We believe the experiences that last a lifetime are the ones in which you are learning and integrating what you learn into your life. Our teachers and guides create unique opportunities for deepening and expansion of your practice.

We know that life is overwhelming at times and our nervous systems beg not only for the medicine of adventure, but for deep rest and rejuvenation. A week of quiet nights and deep sleep, time for napping and giving yourself permission to do nothing at all.

Our mission is to connect people to their purpose by exposing them to practices, people and places that bring out their deepest truths and desires. Each one has the intention to bring you into a deeper connection with yourself and your true gifts.

Come with no story to defend and no judgement to be had. Meet people who will change your life and/or share in all the ups and downs. Connect to old friends and family in a new way, on a retreat, or when you go back home. Our own healing is the healing of the planet and so we work work with eco-lodges and companies that have similar ethos and missions.

Giving Back: 2 trees are planted every retreat sign up to help protect our planet and natural resources. At check out, we also offer you the opportunity to give to inspiring local and international projects. Find out more here.
