Watch: A Day in a Life on an Umbrian Farm — Monestevole

July 1, 2016

Umbria is the greenest region of Italy, full of woodlands because of sustainable forestry laws in the area.

Farms, like Monestevole, are known for growing crops like olive oil, wine (Umbria is famous for its Sagrantino di Montefalco), sunflowers, legumes, and the region is famous for its truffles.

At the moment, they are training Tribu’, the newly born colt, and visitors can pet pig Matilda and the pet goat Tiramisu’.

Monestevole is a place to make yourself at home and is not a daily room-service type hotel. Monestevole cares deeply about sustainability practices and the goal is to show that it is possible to live sustainably, not just in remote locations and developing countries, but also in our own back yard.
