Traveling from Cusco through Urubamba, we will explore the Sacred Valley, studying superfoods from the land, to table and learning about their powerful nutrition. This yoga retreat in Peru embodies the ultimate yoga retreat and adventure experience. We’ve created an adventure where the yoga, the travel, the people, the culture, the nature, the food, the history and the healing come together to create a life-changing experience. This trip will be led by our local guides, an amazing yoga teacher and our favorite experienced local host, Gaby, creating the ideal/safe environment for you to sink into the adventure, discover Peru and explore yourself.
Dating back to ancient times, Peru has possessed a special energetic power. On this retreat, we will discover Pachamama’s magic and the origins of Andean superfoods, healing botanicals, and profound mystical insights.
We will visit farms, taste wonderful flavors and study the many nutritional benefits of superfoods.
This retreat is built for guests with an interest in exploring one of the most marvelous places on earth and diving into food and nutrition in an authentic and unique way. Attendees must be fit for moderately difficult activity including day hikes, yoga and elevation change.
To better understand superfoods, we will tap into the powerful energy, history and culture of Peru. Throughout our journey, we will hike through ancient archaeological sites (including Machu Picchu), explore artisanal craft, learn about Andean folklore, and enjoy market and tasting tours.
In order to experience all that the Sacred Valley has to offer, we will be moving locations every few nights during our journey. We’ll spend 2 nights in Cusco in the historic center, 2 nights in Urubamba at an eco-lodge, 1 night accommodations in the town of Aquas Calientes (so we can explore Machu Picchu) and 3 nights accommodations in healing retreat center of Wilka Tikka in Urubamba.
While on our journey our Peruvian Chefs will provide us with the majority of our delicious meals. There will be several options such as vegetarian, gluten free, etc and we can accommodate most dietary concerns.

We highly recommend packing light. We will always have a landing place so you will not have to carry more than your day-pack while we are hiking. However, having just one small to medium sized roller bag or duffel is highly recommended for the most ease and grace throughout the journey.
Our accommodations are all shared doubles and triples. It may be possible that we will have a couple of single rooms to offer but we can not guarantee this. We are staying at quaint, non-touristy places during the first week of our journey. Please email help@yogascapes.com for more information and availability and to request the upgrade fee amount for these nights.
