Moab, Utah: for rock climbers, yogis, adventure-lovers, hikers, trial runners, and sunset chasers, just hearing someone say “Moab” is reason enough to pack up a bag and head out to that special, quiet desert. We’ve teamed up with Aarona Lea and The Moon Deck to offer the most adventurous women’s retreat out there. The adventure will crack open your heart and the women will deeply nourish your soul. Join YOGASCAPES for the trip of a lifetime.
Join us for a nourishing and adventurous retreat full of movement, meditation and potent intention setting using yoga and The Moon Deck as a daily tool. On this retreat in Moab you will wake up every morning to cool desert air, a bright red sunrise, a Moon Deck oracle reading and an energizing yoga practice – prepping our bodies and spirits for the day ahead. Each day will be a time to soak deep into nature, move your body and breath, rock climb or mountain bike, go on endless hikes, + other optional activities like bouldering, trail running and rafting. After a full day of exploring the land and your natural rhythm, return to our river-side camp site for a gourmet dinner, relaxing sunset yoga practice, Moon Deck ritual workshops, and lots of laughing around the campfire.
This also happens to be a full moon, when she swells to her most luminous glow and we can bask in her light. It’s a time to adjust our perspective, harness this bright energy, align ourselves with intentional next steps, and celebrate! For five days, we will live in the outdoors, which will include a Full Moon Circle under the majestic sky. Let’s get far away from technology and close to the earth and ourselves. Get ready for a trip all about the discovery of your personal strength, bravery, and inner badass. When women gather, magic happens.
Please note: The dates have changed from Oct 4-8 to Oct 5-8, 2017. You can send any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.

What to Expect:
This isn’t your typical yoga retreat. Moab is desert. It’s dry, it’s hot, it’s harsh, it’s incredibly beautiful. You will get dirty! (maybe dirtier than you’ve been in a long time.) Our site does have any showers though. And nice bathrooms so you’ll have a taste of home in the harsh conditions.
With movement, holistic health and the arts being at the forefront of Aarona’s healing journey, she’s deeply inspired to share her growth and tools with others. Inspired by 20 plus years of yoga, 12 years as a yoga teacher and wellness adviser, a BFA in photography and mixed media arts, and a love of writing and globe trotting – Aarona shares her passion on and off the mat. Her classes combine various yoga and meditation disciplines where she invites you to safely explore your edge and enliven the wisdom of your senses. She’s the founder/creative director/author of ‘The Moon Deck’ (an intuitive oracle deck filled with inspired offerings to stoke the powers of intention and ritual), curates and teaches ‘Yoga Soundscape’ (a live music and sound concert combined with a thoughtfully orchestrated moving meditation practice), and created the music modules for the Kula Yoga and Wanderlust teacher training programs.
Born in LA and brewed in NYC, she teaches public yoga classes, facilitates global adventure yoga retreats, leads empowering women’s workshops, mentors new yoga teachers and offers private coaching. Aarona has been featured in the New York Times, Self Magazine, National Geographic Traveler UK, The Weather Channel, Wall Street Journal, Fréttblaðið of Iceland, Times of India, Origin Magazine, the cover of FitYoga, NBC, Elephant Journal, Yoga Journal, AlignYo, Well+Good NYC, and Co-Creator Radio.
