Food and Yoga have been my twin passions and practices for a long time now. And for good reason! Both Food and Yoga help us connect our outer world to our inner environment, and both can feed our bodies and our souls. For one week, we’ll indulge in an in-depth practice, gathering on our mats and around the table to uncover all of the ways we crave to be nourished.
Nourish /ˈnəriSH/ Definition: providing the food or other substances necessary for growth, health, and good condition.
Nourishment comes in many forms, and hunger comes from many sources. Through daily yoga practice, meditation, reflection and journaling exercises, we’ll ask ourselves the question, “what am I really hungry for?” Connecting to ourselves, each other, the natural world, and the food we’re eating (and making!), an array of answers will be revealed. I can promise you this, this retreat will be a feast for the mind, body and heart. So, come hungry, and get fed.
We’re combining all things delicious and truly Italian for you as we escape to a special Umbrian farm, Monestevole, for the week. Join us around the community table as we savor beautiful seasonal meals together, get our hands dirty on the farm (if you want) and soak up as much fresh air as we can as we flow. This one’s about keeping it real for yogis and foodies, who want to get their yoga and nature on at the same time.
This retreat embraces the true rustic, connected nature of Italy without sacrificing comfort. While there are endless activities available including horseback riding, bread or pasta making, feeding the animals, hiking, hot springs, soap making, and excursions, you’re also entirely welcome to just get lost, slow down and relax into the serenity of the surroundings.
