MOAB: Current Status ➡️

October 5, 2018

Current Status  ➡️ ON AN ADVENTURE

Moab is one of those places filled with magic and wonder. It’s a dream for the adventure-seeking soul. And it is a destination for those who love hiking, climbing and the Great Outdoors.

With our retreat coming up, we wanted to share our favorite things to do when we go to Moab.

Arrive early or leave late, here are a few treats to make your stay that much more sweeter.

Peace Tree is absolutely one of the best spots  for eating. Trust us, it just is.

Love Muffin is great stop for coffee and to remain offline ( there is no WiFi).

Moab Coffee Roasters is a little bizarre shop with DELICIOUS iced coffees AND they have Wifi (if you are needing to connect).

Moonflower Community Co-op is like a mini WholeFoods with the town’s only organic /health food offerings. There is also a sweet little cafe in the back of the store.

There is only one yoga studio in town and they are a super lovely community.

The Moab Arts Center is just up the street from Moab Coffee Roasters. It is a  a cute little art gallery but also there are two large rooms that can be rented(and we have rented these in the past for yoga when the weather was unbearably hot or rainy at Under Canvas)

There is a huge and beautiful park on the west side of town you can visit.

Hire Moab Cliffs and Canyons to take you on any rock climbing, canyoneering, or hiking adventures— ask for Brett, he is the BEST and will help you out!

Bike rentals, boat rentals, canoes, SUP boards from various outfitters all are on Main Street

Canyonlands is a great place to visit. So is Deadhorse Point. And, of course, visit the Arches if you want to go and explore something truly magnificent. Really, a no-brainer.

If you choose not to extend your stay at Under Canvas, we recommend La Quinta Inn and Suites or Best Western Plus Canyonland Inn.

Anddddd if you haven’t had enough of that camping life, you can literally pull off on various roads and car camp. There are also beautiful  camp spots around Goose Island.

We fell love with Moab because of the epic sunsets, the harsh desert, the sense of adventure. It all created this feeling of being fully alive— fully raw, full of the land. We designed our Moab Retreat to bring that feeling to our guests. Moab is for sure a Yogascapes favorite and while our intention is to create a holistic experience— one that includes wellness, yoga, adventure and nourishment— we know that there is always more time to explore things more deeply.
