Where is this retreat and how do/when do I get there?

Where is the yoga retreat in Mallorca located?

Our yoga retreat in Mallorca is the perfect place for those who want to connect with nature and its quietness. As soon as we came in we could feel the special energy it has and we totally fell in love with it

This old but renovated finca has 11 spacious rooms that are fully equipped in a simple and rustic style, the owners did a great job refurbishing it while maintaining its unique character and soul.

It is surrounded by the Tramuntana Mountains, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011 because of its scenic and cultural values and source of inspiration for artists of all nationalities.

Being located only 15 min away from Palma, 20 min away from the airport and well connected to all the main roads in the island makes it perfect for our retreats since our guests can enjoy different plans every day, from shopping and sightseeing in the beautiful centre of Palma, visiting picturesque little towns or going to the beach which is only 15 minutes away.

The house has a garden where every morning we pick up the products we´ll use and a pool with breathtaking views.

What are the accommodations like?

How do we get there?

The closest airport to fly into is Palma. Then you’ll take a taxi to our house (20-25 minutes). 

Arrivals/Departures:

The retreat starts at 5 pm on Oct 7th

You are responsible for your own flight and shuttle/taxi from the airport to the Farmhouse.  We highly suggest renting a car so that you can be mobile during the retreat and go on any optional excursions that inspire you but that is not necessary. Palma is about 20-25 minutes from the farmhouse.

Retreat ends: after 8AM breakfast on Oct 13th. We will help arrange taxis back to La Palma Airport based on group departure times.

Taxi Prices: 35 euro each way per taxi.

We can help set you up with a taxi to/from our farmhouse but it is not included. We will pair anyone up that’s coming at the same time to save on costs
Suggested Travel
We suggest either booking a flight straight to Palma or round trip flight to Barcelona or somewhere else in Spain and then taking a cheap connecting flight so you can explore either before or after. We also suggest renting a car for the week so that you can explore before, after and even during our optional days!

What level yoga will there be and how often?

Yoga classes will be 1-2 times daily and all levels.  Our teachers are amazing at creating classes that are both suitable for beginners and challenging for the more experienced! See above to get an idea of what Devon will be offering on this retreat.

How much free time will we have?

What is the weather like?

The largest of the Balearic Islands, Majorca enjoys warm weather in October even though it’s autumn. You’ll find this an ideal time to visit if you like high temperatures and thinner crowds. There’s differences in climate across the island because of the mountains, which attract rain and clouds leaving the coast sunny and dry.

North westerly winds mean the southeast is usually a bit warmer and drier than other parts of Majorca. If you’re planning on spending long days at the beach you’ll be glad of the local winds, which draws cooler air from the sea as heat rises on the island.

The average high temperate in October is 24ºC, so pack a good selection of swimwear and beach gear. You’ll want to pack some warmer things for the evenings as it can get a bit cool, with temperatures averagely dropping to 14ºC. The sea temperature’s usually a refreshing 22ºC, while humidity’ low and ranges from 50% to around 90%. Rain picks up as the month goes on, with an average of 59mm across six rainy days.


What is the food like?

We’ll have a private chef cooking incredible meals at the house. The house has a garden where every morning we pick up the products we´ll use that day. The retreat will be vegetarian, though we will definitely be explore the cheeses, meats and seafood of the region on our outings!

Are there optional activities being offered?

Yes, we will be offering optional activities. Some we will suggest planning ahead of time, while others we will help support during the retreat.  If there is something that you are dying to do in Mallorca, please plan ahead and  make sure your needs are taken care of around this by setting it up in advance.

Cycling and hiking are the most popular things to do, however you can go shopping, visit museums, explore hidden beaches that we won’t make it to or simply relax at our farmhouse and rest.
