We welcome yogis of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. Our handcrafted experies are suitable for beginners as well as those of us yogis who can easily touch our toes. Our yoga retreats offer opportunities for growth and new experience, no matter how much time you have spent on your mat. Regardless of your level, we suggest keeping an open mind and trying out practices that might be new to you.

We travel to all corners of the world, so whether you are looking to unplug at a tropical oasis, soak in hot springs just a short drive from the city, or gaze into the starry sky in the desert night, we offer it all.

Yes! About half our participants come alone and often come away with lifelong friends. If you’re traveling alone, a yoga retreat is the best way to meet new people with similar interests in a safe and healthy environment. Check out our solo traveler page for more information.

The group size depends on which trip you are joining, though typically our experiences average between 15-25 attendees. The intentional “intimate” size of our retreats reflect our desire to produce a connected and community-driven experience while ensuring us the right guest-to-guide (and teacher) ratio to make sure that everyone is supported and inspired during our time together.

The best, of course! We work with our venues to provide the most fresh, local and organic cuisine on each of our retreats. Typically we provide all of our daily meals (less when we are on an outing or have a “free day”) and our communal meals are a great tie to decompress and connect with each other during retreat. Please let us know as soon as you sign up for the trip (or before) if you have any special dietary needs such as food allergies or any other special considerations whether dietary or medical.

You will be provided with a suggested packing list for each retreat after you sign up. In the meantime, please see the trip description page(s) for more detail. Generally, we suggest bringing a yoga mat, sunscreen, comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, headlamp, book, journal, reusable water bottle, a little sense of adventure, an open mind and whatever typically makes you feel comfortable and at ease during travel. As always, please get in touch with us for any specific questions regarding packing and what to bring on retreat.

Our retreats include a healthy balance between group activities and solo free time to relax, read a book, take a walk, journal etc. On the days that we have an outing planned we will go lighter on the yoga and we generally build in time for participants to go off on their own, or simply stay put to relax at our beautiful retreat center. Built in free time, and the sweet spaciousness that accompanies it, is a core element of all of our retreats.

Upon registration you will receive a welcome message with general trip information. As the date approaches you will receive trip reminders and specifics relevant to your retreat. As always, please reach out to us directly via email with any questions or considerations.

Though it varies for each experience, we typically include all lodging, most meals and all of our yoga classes together. Depending on the trip and the surrounding area, we like to include 1-2 additional included excursions & transportation and leave the other days for optional activities. Some trips will include transportation from the airport as well. Please refer to the “what’s included” section of each trip page for more details on each destination.

We offer “early bird rates” when signing up before certain dates, so the earlier that you can sign up the better! Check the specific trip you are interested in to make sure you sign up before the next deadline, and let us know how we can help you lock-in your next epic travel experience with YOGASCAPES.

Yes. You are responsible for booking your own flight. Each trip will have suggested arrival and departure details based on when we know you need to be in the airport and you can always send us the itinerary before booking for some help along the way, we’ve got your back!

For most retreats you are responsible for your own airport transfer unless stated otherwise. You can always request support booking your transfer and we are usually able to pair people up to share in the cost. As always, email us with any questions and we’ll help ‘ya out.

Typically ATM and major bank cards are able to withdraw from our destinations to get the best rates. Just simply notify your bank of your travel dates and locations before you go. We always recommend traveling with a little bit of cash in your pocket, and we always accommodate any requests to go to a bank or ATM along the way. All of the activities highlighted on the trip page are included in the price. However, we will have free time for you to explore on your own. Additionally, most meals are also included but you always have the option of venturing out on your own, and of course we leave all of the gift buying and souvenir shopping to you! Please let us know if you want our help budgeting for your next trip with us, we’d be happy to help.

Yes, after all this is your journey. However, If you choose to arrive earlier or stay later than the given start and end time/day of our retreat, you will be responsible for booking your own transportation and accommodations. If you are arriving early you will need to make sure you get to our retreat site by the start of our experience together, and if you are staying after you will need to make your own accomodations with the venue (or otherwise) to extend your stay. We always encourage you to explore the area and deepen your experience in whatever ways feel best to you, and often travelers use our retreats as a jumping-off point for further travel.

Travel insurance for all of our international yoga retreats is mandatory. Unfortunately we cannot allow participation unless proof of travel insurance is sent to us before. Above all we are here to keep you safe, and we recommend purchasing your travel insurance within a week of purchasing your plane flight to ensure smooth sailing.

We highly recommend that you add “cancelation for any reason” to your policy. Although normal trip cancellation will cover you for illness or injury, or for a travel companions illness, injury or death, it is otherwise limited. With “cancel for any reason” you will receive a percentage (usually 75%-100%) of all pre-paid costs. With this coverage if something comes up, a wedding, a new job opportunity, or if we have to cancel due to weather, injury or means outside of our control you will still be covered.

If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date any payments made will be refunded minus your deposit. If cancellation takes place between 30-60 days prior to your departure, 50% of the trip price will be refunded OR 100% of the trip price minus the deposit will be credited toward another trip. If cancellation takes place less than 30 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the trip price will be forfeited.

We offer a limited number of early-bird pricing opportunities and select students and “scholarship” rates to make our trips as accessible as possible. We also offer occasional giveaways and specials that can be seen by signing up for our email list. You can always contact our customer serivce to make sure that you’re getting the best rates possible before you purchase. We want to make our trips accessible to as many people as possible and we are open to setting up a payment plan in certain situations.
