Fall is a time of cutting away that which is no longer necessary. It’s a beautiful time of year that encourages us to turn inward, take inventory and decide what is worth keeping and letting go of the rest. It’s a time of reflection, release and transition.
It can be an uncomfortable time of year too. We feel the passion of summer fading away and a chill begin to take over. This is sometimes very welcomed, depending on where you live, but it can also remind us that soon we will look back fondly on our summer days as the days grow shorter and the nights lengthen.
We love going on retreat during this potent, transitional time. The year isn’t yet over so we have time to take stock of how close we’ve gotten to manifesting our dreams and make plans for doing what we need to do to get where we want to be.
