25 Best Places to Go Camping Around the World

May 19, 2016

glamping

It’s camping season and we’re stoked to get off the grid, away from Internet, and into our tents with scenic views, mountain air, and natural, authentic vibes.

Whether you are looking to travel the world, go glamping, or just needing a cure for your wanderlust, camping is a great option.

With that said, we’re obsessed with this list of “The 25 Best Places to Go Camping Around the World, Because We Want to Go There,” gathered by Bustle.

1. Big Sur, California

Craving camping among redwood trees, an expansive ocean, waterfalls and just straight-up magic? Oh did we mention starry skies, evening campfires and pure magic? Big Sur is one of our favorite places for camping and yoga retreats.

*We’re stoked to head there on a sold-out retreat this June!*

Boca-Sombrero

2. Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica

Corcovado National Park is home to five percent of the world’s biodiversity — National Geographic described it as the most “geographically intense” place in the world. It’s full of every animal you imagine seeing in the jungle (monkeys, ocelots, pumas, & more), as well diverse trees and plants. Plus it’s a great place to hike, visit waterfalls and chill beachside.

*We’re heading back to Corcovado National Park on our Jungle Life Yoga Retreat in January 2017.*

morroco

3. Sahara Desert, Morocco

Camels, high desert dooms, and starry skies — these are a few of our favorite Morocco things. The desert holds a special magic that you need to see to believe — and the Moroccan food is an added bonus.

We frequently visit Morocco, so be sure to check in and join us when we go there next.

4. Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is the first national park and is full of geysers. It is also one of the only intact natural ecosystems in the world’s temperate zone with 67 species of mammals and 330 species of birds. It’s also a great place to hike, explore crystals, and connect to the earth.

*We’re heading to Yellowstone on our upcoming FP Escapes to Yellowstone this June.*

Iceland is a camping loving, adventure junkie’s wonderland. In particular, Lake Myvatn camping trip: head out at the right time and you can catch an unforgettable view of the Northern Lights. Here you can also fish, hike, enjoy a campfire, visit hot springs, and more.

We’re heading to Iceland on two of our upcoming Iceland yoga retreats — one in July and one in September.
